Why “Andy Tries?”

Why not?

The only way to figure things out is to try. Trying new shapes, new finishes, new projects and uses is at the core of Andy’s work. He is committed to experimenting. Sometimes it works.

More about our brand

You might say woodworking is in Andy’s blood and you’d be right. He comes from a long line of craftsman, apprenticing under his dad and uncles, who have been creating art from the wood products of Wisconsin’s North Woods and the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest for decades. From lathe-turned bowls to decorative animals, custom furnishings and unique wood trims and accents,
Andy watched and learned from master craftsmen.

Andy’s believes in upcycling principles, commitment to sustainability and a passion for Wisconsin’s native landscapes and ecosystems influence his drive to turn the ordinary into art, finding the beauty and function in even the smallest pieces of wood. Andy is a Wisconsin native and has been a Riverwest homeowner for nearly 15 years.
